FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Test Prep

Part 107 is the federal rule used for most work and other non-recreational flights with small drones. This course starts at zero and prepares a first-time applicant for the FAA Unmanned Aircraft General - Small knowledge test, called the UAG, and for safe mission planning after the test.

What you will be able to do

• Explain the first-time certificate path and the remote pilot in command role.
• Apply operating limits, registration, reporting, and waiver rules to real missions.
• Read airspace, sectional-chart, airport, authorization, NOTAM, and flight-restriction cues.
• Read basic weather reports and predict weather effects on a small drone.
• Evaluate loading, performance, batteries, maintenance, preflight, and emergency choices.
• Plan safer flights at night, near people or vehicles, and under Remote ID rules.

How the course teaches

Every aviation term is defined before it is used. Short explanations lead into worked chart examples, weather decoding, mission decisions, and corrective feedback. Each teaching lesson ends with a low-stakes practice quiz and a separate graded quiz. Important ideas return in later missions so knowledge becomes usable judgment.

Current source basis

The course follows FAA-S-ACS-10B, current 14 CFR Parts 107 and 89, the FAA Remote Pilot Study Guide, and the FAA knowledge-testing supplement. The real UAG test has 60 multiple-choice questions, a two-hour time limit, and a 70 percent passing score.
